Economics: We maintain for most current and historical fiscal terms, economic models using Microsoft Excel. Our preference encapsulates customized open code that is tailored to the unique charactersitics of individual deals; the open code allowing third parties and client audit of procedures. In addition to the fiscal terms and project economics, our models incorporate deal structure (buyer & seller economics), financing components, income statements and balance sheets. We custom build the output to consolidate results at the required project level - field, license, fiscal ring fence, tax entity, business unit, or corporate entity. Our models typically allow three input cases for all variables (P90-P50-P10, 1P-2P-3P or Downside-Base-Upside). We analyze, as necessary, multiple strategies or scenarios simultaneously for decision analysis. We recommend commercially available third-party add-in tools for uncertainty analysis (tornado chart generation, etc.) and decision tree work.
Exploration Program Simulation: A Monte Carlo model that enables a wide range of outcomes (success & failure legs) through the exploration, appraisal and development program to be evaluated in multiple (country) fiscal regimes. The results allow assessment of the impact of changes to the project schedule resulting in greater or lesser capital and operating costs . This model generates a defined range of outcomes which is typically used to direct negotiations with governments, partners for license terms (work programs and schedules, government carry, royalty, cost and profit shares) and to evaluate trade and financing options. The outcome of multiple farmout efforts is typically included in the analysis to determine the exposure of companies through obligations under its portfolio to the industry market over an extended period of time.
Exploration Portfolio Management: EXPERFORM An analytical model to assess the range of outcomes from multiple prospects, including performance monitoring (actuals versus predictions). Inputs are prospect reserves distribution, geologic chance factor, reserves-PV pairs and dry hole exposure, plus well results when available. Outputs by prospect are minimum commercial reserves, economic chance factor, mean success reserves and PV, EPV and investment efficiency.
For the portfolio, outputs are probability distributions of numbers of successes, reserves and value added, all shown cumulatively versus prospects in sequence. Prospect ranking uses investment efficiency (cumulative EPV versus cumulative exposure), but other client metrics may be added or substituted. Risk Adjusted Value may be used as an alternative valuation basis, with Optimum Working Interest as an input assumption or an output recommendation.
EXPERFORM is available under a licensing agreement for a multiple-user license which includes customizing, training and updates.
Charge Analysis: An analytical model of the generation and migration of hydrocarbons within a prospect fetch area, play fairway, petroleum system or basin. The client's quantitative assumptions about source rock behavior and migration losses can be substituted for our default assumptions. This can be used in conjunction with client's volumetric prospect resource estimation models.
Global Activity: The moyesco.com database is available to clients in a range of practical formats, populated with public domain data. We accomodate the hosting of a stand-alone client-specific confidential system, with integrated capabalities to cross-reference the existing public data for the client's staff to maintain. Alternatively, we can license the database for use on the client internal IT system and provide continuing development support.
This database framework incorporates a multilateral data entry application with high-level data visualization and reporting capabilities. The software is typically applied across many industries (extractive, manufacturing, legal and accounting, government agency, multilateral and commercial financing and social programs) active in the international sector to track multiple programs for marketing and audit.
Corporate Brochure: The moyesco.com proprietary technology that powers the online brochure at moyesco.com is available for use by clients under an annual retainer. This highly cost efficient technology optimizes, in a one-of-a-kind manner, the real-time collection and integration of corporate intellectual knowledge, in different offices and countries.
Corporate and project specific brochures, proposals, resumes and supporting marketing documentation are immediately available, online and in hard copy (color or black & white), in any networked location, to meet the challenging demands of global and project specific marketing documents. Multiple language copies of the corporate brochure and resumes are maintained.
Additional software tools allow spatial information on corporate projects to be gathered in tabular, graphical and map formats and integrated into the documentation on-the-fly.
The data entry system is secure with integrated hierarchical access and privilege which ensures that documentation integrity and quality can be maintained, while encouraging participation from all contributing individuals.
